Creating 3D hentai has been getting easier and easier over the years. In the past, creating a decent looking human model in CGI was next to impossible. It took a skilled artist several months, if not longer, and the results often left much to be desired. Then came along software like Daz Studio from Daz 3D and Poser from Smith Micro. Software of this type, while crude in earlier versions, eventually put the power of near photorealistic human characters in the hands of the people.
